Their Stories

My girls look forward to every class, it’s always the highlight of their week when it’s their turn to go to dance!

When we were choosing a new studio for Lila last year we were looking for someplace she could get a variety of classes and performance opportunities and quality instruction even though she is a recreational dancer. While she isn’t going to pursue dance beyond high school, we still did want someplace that treated it seriously and that can be a hard balance to find and we have felt that CDT struck that for her well.We also really appreciated that she was placed in classes with other girls her age even though she was new to the studio and hadn’t had the same training and we felt that even as a new student she had very fair casting in Nutcracker and Paquita.  I felt she had excellent opportunities as a new student. So many studios make joining as a teen really difficult and CDT made it really easy. Other things we appreciate - the costs are reasonable, the minimal costume and recital costs/drama, overall encouraging and supportive environment and tone of the instructors, no competition team, tasteful costumes, music, dancing, etc. Communication and organization has been really good.

mother of 14 year old dancer

My daughter, Shelby, has been taking dance lesson at Chattanooga Dance Theatre for the pas six years. We love CDT! Ms. Christine, Mr. Frank, and all the teachers are incredible! CDT has been a wonderful, positive place for Shelby to learn, grow, and mature during her teenage years. Shelby has formed lifelong friendships at CDT and is now prepared to double major in Dance and Exercise Health Science at Middle Tennessee State University. Thank you CDT
